Resettling Afghan Families Together

Thank you to all of my amazing clients, colleagues and friends who have stepped up to help Afghan Refugees. In September, my friend Dan and I co-founded NoVa Raft. As of February 2022 we have assisted more than 130 Afghan families. Setting up homes and assisting with basic needs like school registration and opening bank accounts makes a world of difference to a newly arrived family.

The influx of Afghan refugees to our area has just begun. The needs are great and the situation is pretty dire for some families. Serving these families is such a joyful experience. Our new friends are gracious, grateful and deeply overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and generosity of their new friends.
